How to Make a Tails Chao in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

"Sonic Adventure 2 Battle" is a 3D platform action game for the Nintendo Gamecube. One of the game's sub-games is a breeding simulation called the "Chao Garden" in which little fictional animals called Chaos can be bred and raised. One of the hardest Chao creatures to acquire is the "Tails" Chao. Modeled on the "Sonic" games' Tails the Fox character, this Chao will require not only "Sonic Adventure 2 Battle," but also "Phantasy Star Online," another game by "Sonic" publishers Sega.

Things You'll Need

Nintendo Gamecube
"Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2" game disc
Game Boy Advance/Gamecube Link Cable
Game Boy Advance or GBA SP
"Sonic Adventure 2 Battle" game disc

Instructions

  Play "Phantasy Star Online" until you are able to select the quest "The Fake in Yellow."

  Confirm that you wish to start the quest by speaking with the secretary in the "Pioneer 2" hub area. Do not collect the meseta from the secretary before starting the quest.

  Fight your way along the quest's linear path until you reach the red teleporter. Go through this teleporter to the "Forest 1" area.

  Walk to the three Rag Rappies near a waterfall. Continue to the waterfall and destroy all boxes near the falls. A Chao will appear and give you the "Tiny Chao Garden Key."

  Exit the mission and return to the "Pioneer 2" area. Go to the GBA link-up console (represented by a large Game Boy Advance console on a podium).

  Connect your Game Boy Advance to the Gamecube via the link cable. Activate the link-up console and turn on your Game Boy Advance to download your new game data.

  Open the Gamecube's system tray and remove the "Phantasy Star Online" game disc. Replace it with the "Sonic Adventure 2 Battle" game disc and reset your Gamecube, all without turning off your Game Boy Advance.

  Go to the Chao Garden and find the new Chao that has been added to the area. Pick up this Chao.

  Press "Start" and save your game to confirm the addition of the new Tails Chao into your Garden.
