How to Put Game Save Data on GameCube Memory Cards

The Nintendo GameCube, like many other sixth-generation consoles, used a memory card for storing game data. While playing a game, data would be saved to the memory cards, which could then be accessed later, or even transferred to a friend's GameCube. If you wish to save data to GameCube memory cards, the process is incredibly simple.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert a GameCube memory card into one of the available memory card slots located on the front side of your GameCube.

    • 2

Insert a game into the top of your GameCube. Turn the GameCube on and begin playing.

    • 3

Create a game save file in accordance with the saving procedures for your specific game. You'll usually be directed to a "Memory Card" screen when saving, and you'll simply need to choose the slot that the memory card is in to save properly. The game save file will automatically be placed on the GameCube memory card. Consult your game's manual if you need further assistance with saving your game.
