Instructions

  1. Automatic Format

    • 1

If data is corrupt on a memory card, insert the card into memory card slot A and power the GameCube on.

    • 2

Press left on the control stick at the GameCube's home screen to enter the memory card manager. If the data on the memory card is corrupt, a screen will pop up asking if you would like to format the memory card.

    • 3

Choose "Yes" on the selection screen and press "A" to confirm your selection. A second screen will pop up asking to confirm your decision. Press "A" again to continue with the format. Note that this will delete all the information on your memory card permanently.

    • 4

If the card data is not corrupt, deleting each game save one by one will have a similar effect as formatting a memory card. If you would like to keep a certain save, copy it over to another memory card.

    • 5

To delete data on a GameCube card using a Nintendo Wii, insert the memory card into slot A and choose the "Nintendo GameCube" tab at the top of the screen. Select the data that you would like to delete and then press the "A" button.
