Tips to Make it Through the Madagascar Game Cube Game

Unlocking Moves

• When you first begin the game, you won't be able to perform any special moves for each of the main characters. Each special move has to first be unlocked by collecting three power cards with that character. For example, when you first gain control of Gloria in the third level, she will not be able to perform her ButtBounce. The three cards needed to unlock this power are always located within the first portion of the level, so do not move on until you've located them all. After unlocking a power, the game will require you to use the special move to continue on. In Gloria's level, her ButtBounce will clear the area of Police Officers and allow you to progress forward. After you've unlocked everyone's power, be aware of how each one is used. If you come across any difficult areas in the game, try using a special move.

Shopping

• As you progress through each level in "Madagascar", you'll notice that there are coins scattered about. Collect any coins you come across; you'll be able to use them in the Zoovenir Shop. After accessing the shop from the main menu, you have three different types of items available to you. The first type is apparel, which will alter the look of your characters. These items have no impact on your abilities and should be purchased only when you have extra coins. The second item type is the "Extras", which will enhance how you play the game. You can purchase additional lives if you're having trouble in a certain level or a magnet that attracts coins to you, making it easier to earn money throughout each level. The final item type is made up of mini-games. These games are separate from the main storyline and allow you to play golf, throw a dance party or participate in a game of shuffleboard. These mini-games can be played by up to six players, so they're entertaining when you have a group of friends.

Last Resort Cheat

• If you're having difficulty in the game and are unable to pass a certain area because of too many enemies or not having the required powers, you can enter a cheat code to unlock all of your power-ups. This should only be used as a last resort because the game will lose all of its challenge. Enter this cheat by pressing "X", "A", "A", "X", "Y", "L", "B", "R" and "L" while you are in the middle of a level. If successful, you'll have all of your powers and health maxed out.
