Sonic Riders Tips

Sonic Riders is a racing game for the Nintendo GameCube and involves characters from the popular Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. The game includes a Story mode with a plot that involves Sonic and his friends competing against Dr. Eggman and other enemies to win seven emeralds. Winning various races throughout the game will unlock hidden players and new gear.

Unlock Characters
- Throughout the game, you must complete stories and missions to unlock hidden characters. Start by selecting Story mode from the main menu. After beating the different stories, you'll see a screen that shows which character you've unlocked. To unlock Dr. Eggman, you must complete the Babylon story. To unlock Cream the Rabbit, Rouge the Bat and Shadow the Hedgehog, you must beat the Heroes story. To unlock Nights, Ulala and Aiai, you must clear all of Storm's, Jet's and Wave's missions in Missions mode. To unlock the E-10000g character, you must play the game in any mode for over 20 hours or play in 100 races. To get Super Sonic, you must achieve the gold emblem from all missions on Mission mode.
Unlock Gear
- You must first complete the Babylon story to get the E-Rider air board. When you complete the Heroes story, you get the Smile, Temptation, Blue Star II, Magic Carpet and Darkness gear. Finish all of Storm, Jet and Wave's missions in Mission mode to unlock Night Sky, Banana, the Crazy, Opa Opa, Hang-On, Super Hang-On and the Channel 5 gear. Once you unlock E-10000G and E-10000R in the Story mode, the E-GearG and E-GearR will automatically be available. You can repair Fastest, Turbo Star, Powerful and Legend gear in Mission mode by using the junk you find throughout the missions. You can also earn a Chaos emerald by getting the gold emblem from all missions in Mission mode.
Unlock Tracks
- The other features you can unlock in the game are the courses that can be played on. Once you unlock these tracks in either Mission or Story mode, you will be able to play them in the Multiplayer mode. After you complete the Heroes story, you'll unlock Babylon Garden. Once you've unlocked the Babylon Garden course, you can find a shortcut when you play it by going past the first ramp and turning to ride into hidden boosters. Complete the first level in the Babylon story to unlock the Night Chase course, and finish the second level to unlock the Red Canyon course. Complete the third level of the Babylon Story to unlock the Ice Factory course, and finish the fourth level to unlock the White Cave. Complete the fifth level of the Babylon Story to unlock the Dry Desert course, and beat the sixth level to unlock the Sky Road course. Once you've completely finished the Babylon story, you'll unlock the Digital Dimension and Babylon Guardian courses. Earn the gold emblem on the Heroes Cup to unlock the Sega Carnival track, and earn the gold emblem on the Babylon Cup to unlock the Sega Illusion track.
