Benefits
The Ocarina of Time Master Quest game disc was given as a bonus to people who pre-ordered The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker before its release for the GameCube. These were the only people to receive the game.
Identification
The Master Quest game used the same story line as the original Ocarina of Time game. The game keeps the same 64-bit graphics with a slightly higher resolution.
Story
The evil Ganondorf is looking to conquer Hyrule with the Triforce, and only Link can stop him. Link must use the Ocarina of Time and the Master Sword, which transport him between two time periods--one where he's a boy and one as a young man.
Function
The dungeons contain many of the changes in the game from its predecessor. There are many more monsters to fight in several areas, such as more Lizalfos monsters in Dodongos Cavern. The items are placed in different locations, and the puzzles are much different.
Fun Fact
Master Quest was originally planned as one of the games that would work with the Nintendo 64's disc-drive option. But since the disc-drive option failed to sell, the game was not released at the time.
