Things You'll Need
Instructions
Grab a turnip! Down and B allows Peach to pull a turnip from the ground, which she can then throw at the enemy. It rarely hurts to have ammunition around, so whenever you're not under attack or otherwise occupied, pull a turnip. If there's still nothing happening, throw the turnip at the opponent and pull again. Not all turnips are created equal. A rare turnip with the =_= face will do much more damage than a standard turnip. Also, although it's literally like a 1 in 1,000 chance, Peach can sometimes pull a Bob-omb or Beam Sword instead of a Turnip. Now that's a versatile garden!
Float to victory! Peach can stay airborne for a long time with her float move, activated by pressing and holding the jump button after her first jump. This has numerous uses, from the obvious recovery when booted off the side of the platform, to a few seconds of staying airborne to avoid a walking Bob-omb below. With practice, you can use the float to line up an aerial attack or downward smash exactly. Advanced players will attack and land while floating, to speed up the recovery.
Butt-bomb! Peach can blast towards her opponents with forward and B, creating a small explosion on impact. Not only is this a decent attack, but if used near a wall, Peach will stall at the wall and move slightly upwards. In some stages with tall walls (such as Fourside), you can actually use this repeatedly to recover from an otherwise fatal fall. If you're ahead on lives in a timed match, you can also use this move repeatedly to stay unreachable by your opponents.
Use parasol power! Up and B is Peach's parasol move, a quick upward jab for a moderate amount of damage. What makes this move so effective is that Peach will automatically float at the apex of her jab. This makes it an ideal move for recovery. In addition, unlike many characters' up and B moves which leave them prone on the ground after a miss, Peach can float away after a missed Up and B attack, thus avoiding retribution.
Don't be afraid to close with your opponent after tossing a few turnips, as Peach is fairly quick and reasonably powered. The forward and A smash will summon a golf club, tennis racket, or frying pan, the latter of which does more damage than the others. Add in her other smashes and standard melee attacks, and Peach is a force to be reckoned with.
