How to Save a Game in Pokemon DP

The "Diamond" and "Pearl" versions of the "Pokemon" game for Nintendo DS follows the adventures of a young trainer as he or she captures and trains special creatures called Pokemon. Capturing the creatures and completing the missions is a time-consuming task so it is important to save the game regularly to avoid losing any progress. After the game is saved you can power down your DS and resume your adventure again later. The process functions exactly the same for both versions of the game and you can save your game anywhere as long as your trainer is not engaged in battle or taking part in a contest.

     Press the "X" button while playing as your character.

     Press down on the D-pad to highlight the "Save" option and then press the "A" button.

     Highlight "Yes" and then press the "A" button when asked if you want to save the game. Wait until the message is shown that you have saved the game.
