How to Get Past the Aries Room in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn

After journeying through the "Clouds of Passaj" in the Nintendo DS role playing game "Golden Sun: Dark Dawn," your party of adventurers reaches the "Craggy Peak" area. Since there is no turning back, the only way forward is through a dungeon that is modeled after the twelve astrological signs. Each room in the dungeon is based on one of the signs and as you solve the puzzles, you can get past the room to the next ones. The Aries room consists of tablets that you have to blast with fireballs in the correct order to proceed.

Instructions

- 1
  Enter the doorway with the ram symbol above it and then go down the stairs to the right in order to reach the Aries puzzle room.

  Stand in front of the glyph tablet in the center of the room and press "A" to read the inscription that states "The ram cowers from the flames." This clue indicates that you need to use fire to lower the ram panels at the back of the room.

  Stand in front of the blue ram panel in the back of the room and press "X" to display the field commands.

  Select "Psynergy" and then select "Tyrell" when asked whose psynergy you want to use.

  Use the d-pad to highlight "Fireball' and then press the left shoulder button to map the spell to this button.

  Press the left shoulder button to cast a fireball at the blue ram panel. The panel drops down and two more panels appear on either side of where the original panel was.

  Stand in front of the left panel and press the left shoulder button to cast another fireball. There will now be three ram panels, with one on the left and two on the right.

  Stand in front of the left panel and press the left shoulder button to cast another fireball. There will now be three ram panels next to each other.

  Stand in front of the middle panel and press the left shoulder button to cast a final fireball. This drops down all three panels and lights up the symbols on the back wall. After a short cut-scene the words "Onward" will appear to indicate that you have finished the room and can now continue to the other puzzle rooms.
