How Do You Get a Chronocrystal in Dragon Quest IX?

The Nintendo DS role-playing game "Dragon Quest IX" contains many different alchemical ingredients used for the manufacture of magical items. One of the rarest of these ingredients, the chronocrystal, is necessary for the construction of the very powerful Agate of Evolution. You can purchase chronocrystals from a specialized shop, but you will have to complete the game before you can access it.

Instructions

  Win the game. You will be unable to obtain a chronocrystal until you have completed the main game quest and activated the Starlight Express, which will enable you to access several new game areas, including the Lonely Coast.

  Travel to the Lonely Coast on the game world's southeastern continent. Check the Resources section for a link to a map indicating the location of various alchemical ingredients, including the chronocrystal. The crystal is sold by a man in a cave on the Lonely Coast.

  Purchase a chronocrystal for 50,000 gold -- steep, but not unattainable. Note that you can buy as many chronocrystals as you want -- if you have the gold.
