How Can I Make My Pokemon Return From the PokeWalker if I Lost It & Deleted the File?

"Pokemon HeartGold" and "SoulSilver," released for the Nintendo DS in 2010, includes an electronic device called the PokeWalker. You can transfer a Pokemon from your game to the PokeWalker and, as you walk around with the PokeWalker, your Pokemon finds items and battles other wild Pokemon. The PokeWalker can be synced to only one copy of a "SoulSilver" or "HeartGold" save file at a time. If your file gets deleted while a Pokemon is still in the PokeWalker, it is impossible to send him back to the deleted file and you can't use the Pokewalker with another save file due to a Pokemon still being it. However, you can reset your PokeWalker back to factory settings, clearing it of all Pokemon and information.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch either "HeartGold" or "SoulSilver" on your Nintendo DS.

    • 2

Highlight "Connect to PokeWalker" on the main menu.

    • 3

Press "A" to enter the PokeWalker Connection menu.

    • 4

Press "Down" on the directional pad and the "X" and "L" buttons at the same time.

    • 5

Select "Yes." The Pokemon currently stored on the PokeWalker is removed and the PokeWalker is reset back to its original factory settings.
