Open a Web browser on your computer and navigate to the Pstros NDS website. Click on the "Download the latest NDS binary" link to download the Java binary archive.
Save the archive to your desktop. Connect the SD card reader to your computer and plug in the SD card. Windows will recognize the card as an external storage device and create a drive for it. Right-click on the drive and select the "Format" option to erase the SD card. Click "Quick Format" and then click on the "Format" button to start the process.
Right-click on the archive containing the Java binary and select the "Extract All" option from the menu that opens. Select the SD card drive and click the "Extract" button to extract the contents of the archive to the SD card. Unplug the SD card from the SD card reader.
Plug the SD card in the card slot on your Nintendo DSi. Turn on the console and go to "System Settings." Select the "SD or SDHC Card Management" option to view the contents of your SD card.
Select the "kvm.nds" file and press the "A" button to run it. Select a Java ".class" or ".jar" file and press the "A" button to run it. There is no guarantee that the tool will run Java apps built with the latest Java Source Development Kit, but this is the only option available.
Use the controller's left and right pads to access the left and right soft keys. The game cursor keys can be accessed by using the D-pad. Use the "B" button to fire. Use the "Y" button to access key one; use the "A" button to access key three. Use the "X" button to access key zero. Press the "Start" button to access the "#" key and press the "Select" button to access the "*" key.
