Obtain Sunyshore Gym Badge
After capturing Uxie, Azelf and Mesprite you must obtain the eighth and final gym badge. This badge is located in Sunyshore City. To reach Sunyshore, travel to Pastoria City and exit the city using the eastern exit to enter route 213. Travel east on Route 213 until you reach route 222, traveling east again until you reach Sunyshore City. The Sunyshore gym leader is Volkner, who uses a team composed of mostly Electric-type Pokemon ranging in level from 46 to 49. A Ground-type Pokemon negates Volkner's Electric-type attacks and is a good choice to defeat him. Once he is defeated, you gain the Sunyshore gym badge.
Defeat the Elite Four
With all eight gym badges obtained, you can now face the Elite Four. The Elite Four is located just north of Sunyshore City. Travel north on Route 223 and Victory Road until you reach the headquarters of the Pokemon League. Stock up on plenty of healing supplies before facing the Elite Four. You must battle them one after another with no chance to visit a Pokemon Center to heal your Pokemon. The Elite Four use Pokemon ranging in levels from 53 to 63, and each member of the Elite Four uses a certain type of Pokemon. In order, this is Bug-, Ground-, Fire- and Psychic-type. Use Pokemon that exploit the weaknesses of the Elite Four to defeat them.
Pokemon Champion
After defeating the Elite Four, there is one more trainer you must defeat before becoming the Pokemon champion. The current Pokemon champion, Cynthia, uses Pokemon that range in level from 60 to 63 and does not use one specific type only. However, Grass-type is the weakness of two of Cynthia's Pokemon, as is Psychic- and Ice-type Pokemon so compose your team with at least one of each type of Pokemon. If possible, use any legendary Pokemon you have captured, such as Uxie, Azelf or Mesprite, to defeat Cynthia. Legendary Pokemon have higher statistics than regular Pokemon so use this to your advantage.
Post-Game Activities
Once you are crowned the Pokemon champion, additional challenges become available to you after the credits are over. You can visit the Battle Tower in the Battle Park region to fight trainers in succession for prizes. You can continue to capture Pokemon in an attempt to fill your Pokedex. After seeing all 150 Sinnoh Pokemon, Professor Rowan upgrades your Pokedex. In addition, you can catch new legendary Pokemon that appear after the Elite Four is defeated, such as Heatran and Cresselia. You are also given the chance to import Pokemon from the Game Boy Advance games using the Pal Park on Route 221.
