How to Make a Recording Longer on a DSi

Nintendo DSi owners have the ability to create and save custom recordings and then edit them. If you accidentally stopped a recording on your DSi before you wanted to, you can make that recording longer by opening it in the editing menu. In the recording save screen, each colored-in balloon represents a recording. The amount of color in each balloon indicates how much space is left to add to that recording.

Instructions

    • 1

      Tap Menu on the DSi home screen, touch Sound, and then press ̶0;Record and edit a sound.̶1;

    • 2

      Touch the recording that you want to add to. Each balloon in this menu is a recording and the half-filled balloons have extra space. The extra space can be used for additional recording.

    • 3

      Press the ̶0;Play̶1; button to play the sound and then touch and drag the playback position to the very end of the recording. Tap the ̶0;Overwrite̶1; button to open the recording menu.
