How to Get a Drapion in Diamond

"Pokemon Diamond" is not the first game of the long-running series to appear on the Nintendo DS, but it's the first one that uses the core aspects of game play that attracted so many people to Pokemon in the first place -- a deep adventure coupled with a strategic battle system similar to many role-playing titles. "Gotta catch 'em all" remains the basic objective as gamers look to capture wild Pokemon and use their abilities to help them complete their collections. Drapion is a creature that can't simply be found wandering around. Before it becomes a part of your collection, you'll need to find a way to encourage another Pokemon to evolve.

Instructions

    • 1

Travel to Pastoria City and head north until you reach the great Swamp. Pay the entrance fee of 500 Pokemon dollars.

    • 2

Use your Safari Balls to hunt down and capture a Skorupi Pokemon. Use the "Throw Bait" option to prevent the creatures from wandering off, and the Mud Balls to help you grab them. The Great Marsh is comprised of six distinct areas, and Skorupis inhabit them all.

    • 3

Train the Skorupi until it reaches level 40, at which point it will evolve into the form of a Drapion.
