How to Get Hamsters to Mate on the Hamsterz DS Game

"Petz: Hamsterz 2" for the Nintendo DS features the option to mate your hamsters by pairing two hamsters of the opposite sex into a single cage. Hamsters are more likely to successfully mate if they are happy. You can make your hamsters happy before attempting to mate them by keeping them well fed and attended to. Mating your hamsters is useful because it is cheaper than using currency to purchase a new hamster from the pet store.

Instructions

  Place two hamsters of the same breed but of the opposite sex, into a single cage.

  Purchase a bowl of food and water from the pet store and place them into the cage. Your hamsters are more likely to mate if they are well fed.

  Press the "A" button to pet your hamsters. Petting your hamsters will increase their happiness and make them more likely to mate.

  Press the "Pairing" button on the bottom screen to make your hamsters partners. The "Pairing" button shows two hamsters with a heart between them.

  Leave your hamsters in the same cage overnight. Talk to the manager of the pet store. He will automatically alert you if your female hamster is pregnant. If she is, your hamster will give birth to a baby hamster in approximately 10 days.
