How to Get Bulbasaur in Cerulean in Pokemon SoulSilver Without Beating Red

In "Pokemon SoulSilver," you can travel throughout the Johto region from Generation III as well as the Kanto region from Generation I, which features all of the original cities. Once you reach Cerulean City in Kanto, you have the opportunity to fight your rival, named Red by default, which is required before you can receive a Bulbasaur from Professor Oak. However, if you are not ready to fight Red, you can still get your old Bulbasaur from your copy of "FireRed" or "LeafGreen."

Instructions

  Enter the PokeCenter in Cerulean City. Walk up to the second floor and speak with the second woman behind the desk to enter the Union Room.

  Load "FireRed" or "LeafGreen" on another device. Speak to the same woman in any PokeCenter to enter the Union Room. You will see an avatar representing your "SoulSilver" character in the room.

  Walk up to the avatar and press "A." Select "Trade," and then select "Yes" on the other console.

  Select your Bulbasaur on "FireRed" or "LeafGreen." Select any Pokemon on "SoulSilver" and select "Yes" to initiate the trade. This brings Bulbasaur into your copy of "SoulSilver" without beating Red.
