What Does the Rainbow Rank Badge Do on Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story?

In the Nintendo DS game "Maario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story," players take the animated plumbers through multiple levels based off sections inside Bowser's body. As you battle creatures and enemies inside the body, both Mario and Luigi build up to higher ranks in the game. Each rank earns them extra powers for battle and the highest rank is the Rainbow Rank. This rank helps you in any battle you encounter within the game.

Character Rankings
- The Rainbow Rank is the highest ranking in "Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story." This rank follows the Mushroom, Shell, Flower, Shine and Star ranks. It occurs when your characters pass Level 40. The Rainbow Rank will appear under the character names and a short animation will play on the screen when you first achieve it.
Badges
- The Rainbow Rank automatically gives both Mario and Luigi the "Excellent!!" badge. The standard "Excellent!" badge with one exclamation point is available through the badge shop, but you can only get the "Excellent!!" badge with the Rainbow Ranking. This badge is automatically added to your badge collection when you reach the rank.
Battles
- The Rainbow Rank and "Excellent!!" badge help you in every battle. Your "Excellent" battle bar will fill on every turn you take in a battle. This means that you can use an "Excellent" attack on your enemies every time. This will kill small enemies almost instantly and allow you to defeat big bosses more easily.
Extras
- With the Rainbow Rank and "Excellent!!" badge, your other badge powers will increase. When you use it with the "Mushroom Badge," you can recharge to 100 percent of your health and remove any poisons or spells such as "Sleep Powder." The Bro Badge increases your life to 100 percent. The Bonus Badge doubles your coins and increases your experience by 1.5 percent. The Powerful Badge adds four times the damage to any attack.
