How to Get to the Purity Forest in Pokemon

Purity Forest is an optional area featured in both "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team" and "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team." Purity Forest features 99 floors of challenges and allows you to bring only one Pokemon with you. To add to the challenge, your Pokemon's stats are temporarily reduced to level one. Defeating the Purity Forest dungeon allows you to recruit Celebi to your team. To unlock Purity Forest, you must first unlock the Sky Blue Plains friend area and recruit Latios and Latias.

Instructions

  Check the bulletin board on a regular basis for the chance to accept a mission where the reward is the Sky Blue Plains friend area. These missions are randomly occurring, so the area could be rewarded for any number of missions. Complete the mission parameters to unlock the area.

  Purchase the Southern Island friend area from Wigglytuff and pick up the HM Surf item from the 20th level of Solar Cave to unlock the Latias and Latios mission. The following day you will have a brief encounter with the Pokemon and the Northern Range area will open up.

  Explore all 25 floors of the Northern Range level to encounter Latios. Defeat Latios using your toughest Ice, Ghost, Bug and Dark Type Pokemon. After the fight is over, Latios will ask for your help in rescuing Latias.

  Explore all 25 levels of Pitfall Valley to find Latias. After a brief cutscene, the two Pokemon will join your team. After recruiting these Pokemon and obtaining the Blue Sky Plains area, you will automatically unlock Purity Forest.
