How to Get New Synchros in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's for the DS

"Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2011: Over the Nexus," released in 2011 for the Nintendo DS, is based on the "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's" anime series. The game, much like the anime series, features card battles using "Yu-Gi-Oh!" playing cards. New to "5D's" are Synchro Monsters, high-level cards that can turn the tide of a battle when brought into play. In "Over the Nexus," players buy card packs in an attempt to get new cards to use in their deck, much like real life. To get new Synchro Monsters, you must buy packs of cards.

  Select "Duelist Menu" from the main menu.

  Select "Get Cards."

  Select a pack of cards that place an emphasis on Synchro Monsters. Such packs include "Synchro Awaken!!," "Invasion of the Worms!!" and "Justice Strikes Back!!." A majority of the cards in these packs are Synchro Monsters, allowing you to get a few new Synchro cards with each pack you purchase.

  Select "Yes" to purchase that pack of cards. Each booster pack costs 150 duel points and holds five cards, randomly selected out of a possible 50 cards. Once the pack is purchased, you are shown which cards you have received.

  Repeat these steps until you receive the Synchro Monsters you want. Select "Deck Construction" under the "Duelist Menu" option to add the cards to your deck, making them usable in battle.
