What Do You Do After You Beat Candice in Pokemon Platinum?

In "Pokemon Platinum," your main objective is to travel around the Sinnoh region as you collect badges from other Pokemon trainers. When you reach Snowpoint City, a rural, northern town, you get the chance to battle gym leader Candice for the Icicle Badge. After you defeat Candice, your next task is to chase your enemy, Cyrus, into a strange land called the Distortion World. Once you do this, you can catch a few legendary Pokemon and then battle Volkner for the Beacon Badge.

Visit Mt. Coronet
- After you receive the Beacon Badge from Candice, head to Oreburgh City. From there, go northeast to enter Mt. Coronet. Your goal is to climb to the top of this imposing mountain. Your main rival, Team Galactic, has made their way to Mt. Coronet to summon Giratina, a legendary Pokemon. Cyrus, leader of Team Galactic, wants to use Giratina for destruction and evil. Defeat Team Galactic grunts as you scale the mountain. At the top, battle and defeat Cyrus' two lackeys, Commanders Jupiter and Mars. Once you beat them, Cyrus opens a portal to the Distortion World where Giratina lives.
Enter the Distortion World
- Just before you enter the Distortion World, your companion and teammate, Cynthia, appears. She offers to come with you, and she follows you when you walk through the portal. There isn't much to do in the Distortion World, since there are no Pokemon to catch here. Simply follow Cynthia through the maze-like world until you corner Cyrus. When you do, Cyrus throws his best Pokemon at you in a battle. Take down his team, and he runs away. Giratina appears. Capture or defeat Giratina and a portal opens, allowing you to return to Mt. Coronet.
Catch Mesprit, Uxie and Azelf
- After you defeat Cyrus, three more legendary Pokemon are ready to battle you. To catch Azelf, head inside Lake Acuity. Uxie appears in the caves of Lake Valor. Catching Mesprit proves a bit more difficult. First, enter the cave in the middle of Lake Verity. When you talk to Mesprit, it flees and roams around the region. To capture it, you need to track it down as it roams around. This is easier if you have the Poketch marking application. The application shows you where Mesprit is on your radar.
Earn the Beacon Badge
- After you capture all three legendary Pokemon, it's time to get the Beacon Badge. This is the eighth and final badge you need to collect before you can fight the Elite Four. To get it, walk east on Route 222 until you enter Sunyshore City. Prepare your Pokemon team and enter the gym. When you reach the back of the gym, get ready to face Volkner, trainer of electric-type Pokemon. Volkner commands three powerful Pokemon: an Electivire, a Luxray and a Jolteon. Defeat them all to earn the Beacon Badge.
