How to Play Golf in 'Deca Sports DS'

"Deca Sports DS" is a sports simulation game released for the Nintendo DS portable game console. It features 10 different sports, including golf, each controlled with the DS's touch screen interface. To reach the hole at the end of each course in the "Deca Sports DS" version of golf, you must simply aim and swing the club using the Nintendo DS's stylus.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the "Deca Sports DS" game cartridge into the Nintendo DS game slot and turn on the system. Tap the "Deca Sports DS" icon to launch the game.

    • 2

Tap the "Touch to Start" screen to navigate to the game's main menu. Tap the "Single Play" option, followed by the "Open Match," "League," "Tournament" or "Challenge" option, depending on the game mode that you want to play.

    • 3

Tap the "Golf" option on the "Select Sport" screen and select the character that you want to golf with to start the game. Depending on the game mode that you selected, you may need to choose the course that you want to play on to start the game.

    • 4

Tap the club that you want to use on the DS's touch screen. You can choose between an iron ("I"), pitching wedge ("PW"), wedge ("W"), sand wedge ("SW") and putter ("UT").

    • 5

Tap the left and right arrows on the DS's touch screen to aim your swing to the left or right. Take into consideration the direction and speed of the wind, which is displayed on the DS's upper screen.

    • 6

Tap the blue "swing square" in the middle of the DS's touch screen. Slide your stylus toward to bottom of the DS's touch screen to start your backswing and slide your stylus toward the top of the DS's touch screen to follow through. If you curve the sliding motion of the stylus to the left or right, the swing will slice accordingly.

    • 7

Repeat Steps 4, 5 and 6 until you sink the ball in the hole and repeat for each subsequent hole.
