Pokemon Pearl Codes to Get Deoxys

Legendary Pokemon such as Deoxys are very difficult to catch in the long-running "Pokemon" series. A few of these legendaries, Deoxys included, are technically impossiible to find without the outside influence of either a special Nintendo giveaway or a cheat code. In "Pokemon Pearl," the only way to catch Deoxys is through the use of a cheating device such as Action Replay.

Cheat Code
- When using the Action Replay cheat device, you must first enter the Game ID "APAE-EBEA12FB" to enable "Pokemon Pearl" cheat codes. If you are playing your game on an emulator such as No$GBA or DeSmuME instead of a Nintendo DS, you will not need to enter the Game ID. Next, add the code "94000130 FCFF0000 B21C4D28 00000000 B0000004 00000000 10001170 00000182 D2000000 00000000." Finally, press "L" and "R" at the same time once inside the game to activate the Deoxys cheat.
Fossil
- To create your new Deoxys, you need to start with a fossil. In "Pokemon Pearl," you can resurrect extinct Pokemon by taking fossils to a scientist in the mining museum. This scientist clones new Pokemon from your fossils, bringing the ancient Pokemon varieties back to life. The cheat code you entered exploits this part of the game to generate Deoxys from any fossil. After receiving the explorer kit from Eterna City during the normal storyline, you can dig underground for buried treasure, including fossils.
Mining Museum
- Travel to Oreburgh City, which you previously explored during the main storyline, with any fossil in hand. The Oreburgh Mining Museum is situated just to the north of the city's Pokemon center. Inside, the museum offers exhibits related to coal mining and ancient Pokemon species, as well as the scientist who specializes in cloning. Though most museums charge the player for entry, the Oreburgh Mining Museum offers its services for free.
Clone Deoxys
- Inside the museum, speak to the scientist and offer him your fossil. If you weren't cheating, the scientist would create an extinct Pokemon such as Lileep or Kabuto. However, thanks to your cheat code, you can get Deoxys instead. After the scientist takes your fossil, he will ask you to come back later to receive your reward. All you need to do is walk out of the museum and walk back in to make the time pass. When you speak to the scientist again, he will hand you a level 20 Deoxys. Make sure you have a spare slot available; if your party is full, you can drop a Pokemon off at the local Pokemon center.
