Type of Cable
Action Replay devices require a USB cord and a Mini USB cord to connect to a PC computer. As its name suggests, a mini USB cord is a cable with a smaller connector on one end that connects to the small port in the back of the Action Replay cartridge. Because both ends of the mini USB cord are male, it requires a USB adapter with both a female and a male end to connect the mini USB to the standard USB cable.
Using the Cables
To connect your Action Replay to your PC, plug one end of the mini USB into the Action Replay cartridge and the other end into the adapter. You can then plug one end of the standard USB cord into the other end of the adapter and one end into an open USB port on your computer. Be careful not to exert too much pressure when plugging the mini USB into the back of the Action Replay cartridge, as this can cause your gaming system to eject it.
