How to Get Past All the Giant Rocks in Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness

In the main story quest of "Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness," violent storms occasionally litter the landscape with giant boulders that can impede your progress and disrupt your farming. To rid yourself of these inconveniences, you must not only have the right tool, but you must also equip it with the right Wonderful Stones to give it the necessary power.

Instructions

  Go to Gannon's shop and purchase a hammer tool with at least two Wonderful Stone slots. This will cost 4,000 gold.

  Go to Chen's shop early in the morning or in the evening and approach his son, Charlie. Press "A" to speak with him. He will offer to equip Wonderfuls to your tools.

  Highlight the hammer, press "A" to select it and then select two yellow Wonderful Stones. Charlie will equip them in the open slots.

  Approach a boulder and select the hammer from your inventory. Hold down the DS stylus on the hammer to charge it, and then release the stylus to swing the hammer and demolish the boulder.
