How to Get Deoxys in Nintendo Events

Though you can generate nearly any rare Pokemon with cheat codes, most players prefer to get legendary Pokemon such as the elusive Deoxys through legitimate means. This incredibly hard-to-find species is only available through a special Nintendo-sponsored event. These events occur occasionally in various countries or cities and offer special prizes, usually consisting of very rare Pokemon such as Deoxys, Mew or Celebi.

Instructions

  Attend a Nintendo event that offers Deoxys as a prize. You can keep an eye out for events by checking Pokemon.com periodically. Often, video game retailers such as GameStop or Toys R Us will host these events.

  Connect your Game Boy or Nintendo DS to the "Wonder Spot" computer provided by Nintendo at the event.

  Fill out the in-game questionnaire found in any Pokemart. Use the response "LINK TOGETHER WITH ALL."

  Speak to the shopkeeper and select "Wonder Gift" from the "Mystery Gift" system.

  Talk to the man on the second floor of any Pokemon center to trade your Wonder Gift for an Aurora Ticket.

  Travel to the port in Vermillion City. The option to sail to Birth Island will now appear in the list.

  Walk to the center of Birth Island and stand next to the black triangle.

  Press the "A" button and the triangle will teleport.

  Quickly walk up to the triangle again and press "A." You will have to repeat this several times to spawn Deoxys. If you are too slow, or if you accidentally step on the triangle, the puzzle will reset and you will have to start over.

  Capture Deoxys in battle. You will want to fight Deoxys with a team of Pokemon of at least level 30.
