Games: How Do You Evolve Togepi in Pokemon SoulSilver

Togepi in "Pokemon SoulSilver" will only evolve if it gains a level after attaining the highest level of happiness. You can increase Togepi's happiness by keeping it in your active party, giving it vitamins and using it in battle. Togepi will evolve into the more-powerful Togetic if it is happy enough when it gains a level. Note that Togepi will evolve at any level so long as its happiness is at the highest level.

Instructions

  Take your Togepi out of the PC box and add it to your main Pokemon team if it isn't already a part of your team. Your Togepi will gain happiness for every step you take so long as it is on your main Pokemon team.

  Travel to Celadon City, and go to the vitamin market located on the fifth floor of the department store. Purchase as many proteins, irons, calciums, zincs and carbos as you can afford. Give these to your Togepi to increase its happiness and stats.

  Walk in tall grass and talk to rival trainers to engage in Pokemon battles. Use your Togepi in battle to defeat other Pokemon, and its happiness will increase.

  Continue using Togepi in battle until he gains a level. He will evolve into Togetic if his happiness is at the highest level when he evolves.
