How Do You Get the Crane From Eddo in Zelda?

The Salvage Arm has been part of the ocean-based "Legend of Zelda" games since "The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker" and makes an appearance in "The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass." This peripheral accessory is attached to your ship and looks like a crane, though it is used to pull treasure up from the bottom of the ocean. In "The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass," you can get the Salvage Arm from a man called Eddo after completing a certain part of the game.

Instructions

    • 1

Play through the game until you have completed the quest in The Temple of the Ocean King for the third time. This happens after you have defeated Cyclok in the Temple of Wind.

    • 2

Exit the Temple of the Ocean King and head back to your ship on Mercay Island. When you arrive on the dock, Linebeck will be waiting for you. Speak with him and he'll instruct you to head back to Cannon Island because Eddo has something for you.

    • 3

Board your ship and head to Cannon Island, which is in the middle of the Northwestern Sea. Dock at the island and head to Eddo's Garage -- the path from the dock will take you straight there.

    • 4

Speak with Eddo and he'll tell you about the Salvage Arm, which he just finished building. You can get him to lower the price of the Salvage Arm by playing a brief mini-game in which you yell into the DS microphone.

    • 5

Pay for the Salvage Arm and it will be installed on your ship. Once you have it, you will be given a tutorial for how to operate it.
