What Do I Do After I Get the Magma Emblem in Pokemon Emerald?

After completing the Mt. Pyre dungeon during your adventures in "Pokemon Emerald," you will receive an artifact that was dropped by the dastardly, craven and contemptible Team Magma organization prior to your visit. Known as the Magma Emblem, this item allows the bearer to enter Team Magma's secret hideout. However, nobody seems to know where Team Magma's hideout actually is. You will need to explore and use your wits to discover the location of the Magma Hideout and put a stop to the villains' heinous plans.
  1. The Search for Clues

    • Travel east from Lilycove City until you reach the Aqua Hideout. You will know you are in the right place when you see Team Aqua members everywhere, and a couple of grunts guarding the cave. Speak to the cave guards for clues; one guard says that Team Magma is trying to awaken a powerful Pokemon at its hideout, and the other mentions Mt. Chimney. Using your awesome powers of deduction, you now know to travel Team Magma's hideout at Mt. Chimney.

    Travel to Mt. Chimney

    • Journey to Mt. Chimney in the western portion of Hoenn. The easiest way to reach the summit of Mt. Chimney is via cable car on Route 112, just to the north and west of Mauville City. You might remember previously entering Route 112 via the Fiery Path, which you used to skip the desert. You also used the cable car here to Lavaridge Town earlier in the game.

    Uncover the Secret Hideout

    • Battle your way south from the summit until you reach the Jagged Pass. Your opponents will be standard Pokemon trainers, not Team Magma members (yet.) Defeat them for extra experience to help with the challenges to come. Once at the Jagged Pass, you will be able to jump down portions of the mountain. Continue traveling in this direction until the ground shakes, revealing the Magma Hideout. This event only occurs after you obtain the Magma Emblem; if you traveled through the Jagged Pass earlier in the game, you passed the Magma Hideout without knowing it.

    Crush Team Magma!

    • Enter the Magma Hideout and activate the "Strength" spell to push the boulders aside, opening the path. Continue forward and explore the various forks and alternate paths for extra items and battles. You will learn from many of the Magma Team members that morale is at an all-time low; many of them regret joining in the first place. At the end of the dungeon, you will encounter Maxie, the final boss of the Magma Hideout. His Crobat is probably his most powerful Pokemon, though you can counter it easily with an electric-type Pokemon of your own. Defeat him to eliminate Team Magma and complete the dungeon.
