How to Restore Flipnotes on DSi

Nintendo's DSi portable gaming console has several free options built into it to make it more useful and fun. One such feature is a widely used animation program called Flipnote Studio. The program is commonly referred by the name "Flipnotes." If your version of this software becomes corrupted, or has trouble functioning, you can easily restore it for free.

Instructions

  Remove any media that you have inserted into the DSi before attempting to restore any part of its system.

  Configure the WiFi settings of your unit so that you can access the Nintendo DSi shop.

  Navigate to the blue "Nintendo DSi Shop" icon to load Nintendo's online software store.

  Select "Start Shopping."

  Select "DSiWare."

  Select "Free" to load a list of free games and other software.

  Scroll through the list of available titles and locate Flipnote Studio. Tap "Download." Confirm your selection when asked to complete the download and restore the program.

  Run the program, and enter your credentials to start using it.
