How to Get Power Items in Diamond

"Pokemon Diamond," released for the Nintendo DS in 2007, doesn't end when the Elite Four, the final bosses of the Story mode, are defeated. Many new locations are revealed, in what is called the post-game, such as the Battle Tower. In the Battle Tower, players fight trainers in succession for Battle Points. These points can be spent on items such as the power items. There are six power items: the Power Anklet, Band, Belt, Bracer, Lens and Weight. These items, when held by a Pokemon, lower the speed statistic while boosting a different statistic, such as strength.

Instructions

    • 1

Travel to Snowpoint City, located north of Mt. Coronet.

    • 2

Speak to the sailor next to the boat at the southern end of Snowpoint City. Select "Yes" to be taken to the Fight Area.

    • 3

Travel north from the Fight Area to reach the Battle Tower.

    • 4

Defeat trainers in the Battle Tower to earn Battle Points. For the first seven trainers in a row you defeat, you earn three Battle Points. For each set of seven trainers you defeat after the first, the Battle Points you earn increase by 1. Each power item costs 16 Battle Points, so you must defeat at least 28 trainers in a row to afford one power item.

    • 5

Leave the Battle Tower when you have accumulated enough Battle Points. Enter the large blue building located in front of the Battle Tower. This is the Battle Points Exchange shop.

    • 6

Speak to the woman on the left side of the building. She allows you to exchange your Battle Points for prizes.

    • 7

Select any of the six power items you want to receive. 16 Battle Points are deducted from your total and the item you selected is placed in your inventory.
