How to Catch Lugia in Pokemon LeafGreen Without Cheats

In the "Pokemon" games, there are many hidden areas and items that can be accessed only with the help of upgrades that players earn at live "Pokemon" events. In ̶0;Pokemon LeafGreen,̶1; one of these areas allows players to catch the legendary Pokemon, Lugia. Players must attend a Pokemon event that offers a free Mystic Ticket, which grants access to the secret island, Navel Rock, to capture Lugia without using cheats.

Instructions

  Attend a live "Pokemon" event that gives attendees a Mystic Ticket. Turn on your "Pokemon" game with your wireless adapter activated, and then select ̶0;Mystery Gift̶1; from the game̵7;s main menu. Travel to any Pokemon Center in the game and talk to the man on the second floor. He will give you a Mystic Ticket.

  Travel to the port in Vermillion City, talk to the sailor and choose ̶0;Navel Island.̶1;

  Walk up the dock to the only cave on the island.

  Continue walking forward in the cave until you go up a small flight of stairs and the path splits. Go right.

  Continue traveling right until you encounter Lugia. Approach it to engage it in a battle.

  Attack Lugia with Rock-, Ghost-, Ice-, Dark- or Electric-type moves to weaken it. When Lugia's hit points turn red, throw Poke Balls at it to capture it. Lugia is powerful, so use strong Poke Balls, such as Ultra Balls. If Lugia escapes the ball, continue weakening it and throwing Poke Balls until you capture it. Do not attack it to the point that it passes out, or else you will lose your chance to capture it.
