What Fun Things Can You Do on Animals Crossing on the DS?

"Animal Crossing: Wild World" for the Nintendo DS is a life simulation game where you create a virtual house in a town filled with talking animals. "Animal Crossing: Wild World" provides you with several activities to participate in, allowing you to explore at your own pace and create your own unique gaming experience that caters to your interests.
  1. Create

    • The Able Sisters shop gives you the ability to design your own patterns, which you can use as clothing items, wallpaper or carpet. Use your DS stylus to draw your pattern and save it to one of the mannequins in the shop to encourage the animals in your town to wear your design. Talk to the pelican at town hall to compose a new town theme. Use the stylus to move the notes and save it to hear your custom song around town.

    Collect

    • After purchasing a fishing rod, bug net and shovel from Tom Nook you can start collecting fish, bugs and fossils. Tap the screen with your fishing rod in hand to cast the line and tap it again when the fish bites the lure to catch it. Tap on a bug with your bug net equipped to capture it. Dig up the X marks on the ground to find fossils. Donate these items to the museum to preserve them for your collection.

    Redecorate

    • Each villager in "Animal Crossing" has a unique home to make his own. You can purchase items to customize your home, such as furniture, wallpaper and carpeting from Tom Nook. Likewise, you will also receive these items as gifts from villagers on occasion. Display your patterns, fish, bugs or fossils in your home by dropping them from your pockets while standing inside. If you run out of space for all your furniture, pay off your loan at town hall to build expansions.

    Socialize

    • "Animal Crossing: Wild World" utilizes the connection options on the Nintendo DS to allow you to visit a friend's town. If you are both in the same room, you can play via DS to DS connection by talking to Copper at the town gate. To play with a friend over Wi-Fi, you must first exchange friend codes before talking to Copper. Together you and a friend can do anything you like, from holding bug catching contests to exchanging custom patterns.
