How to Go to Newmoon Island Without Cheats & Glitches on Pokemon Diamond

Before going to New Moon Island, you must defeat the Elite Four and receive the National Pokedex. The boat to New Moon Island is located in Canalave City. New Moon Island is the home of Darkrai, a legendary Pokemon. Include a Pokemon with the Fly HM in your party before traveling to New Moon Island.

Instructions

  Visit the television station in Jubilife City. Speak with a reporter and agree to an interview. Respond "Everyone happy" and "WI-Fi connection" to his questions. Save your game. You have just unlocked the "Mystery Gift." Reboot your DS.

  Select "Mystery Gift" from the start menu. Select "Obtain via WI-Fi Connection." Visit any Pokemon Center and speak with a man dressed in green. He gives you the membership pass.

  Visit the West side of Canalave City. Talk to the sailor to receive the "save the sick boy" quest. He takes you to Iron Island. The legendary Pokemon, Cresselia, is the only occupant. Capture him with your Masterball. You will also receive the "Lunar Wing." Use it to heal the sick boy. You can now enter the Harbor Inn.

  Spend the night in the inn. You dream about the Darkrai. When you awake, you discover a diary. It contains the location of the Darkrai: New Moon Island.

  Travel to the South side of Canalave City. Speak with the sailor and board the boat to New Moon Island.
