How to Do Sonic's Tornado Move in Sonic Rush

"Sonic Rush" for the Nintendo DS introduces a repertoire of new moves for Sonic the Hedgehog and his pal, Blaze, as they zip through various stages in this 2005 title. Blaze can pull off the Axel Tornado, while Sonic uses his Hop Jump. Both maneuvers are similar, allowing each character to do a double jump to reach higher places to find hidden items and areas. The tornado move is most effective because it allows Blaze to jump higher and even attack enemies.

Instructions

  Launch off an object that will make you fly high in the air. This includes such actions as jumping off a spring or being launched out of a cannon.

  Wait until you reach the highest point of the launch to get the best effect out of the move. You will be better able to gauge this after some practice.
- 3
  Press the "R" button and "Up" on the control pad simultaneously. This will perform the maneuver for either Blaze or Sonic, depending on which character you are controlling.
