Raikou is a legendary Electric-type Pokemon introduced in the second generation ̶0;Gold,̶1; ̶0;Silver,̶1; and ̶0;Crystal̶1; games for the Nintendo DS. It is a member of the legendary beast trio, alongside Entei and Suicune. Raikou boasts high Speed and Special Attack, as well as above average defenses. In battle, Raikou is a potent special sweeper, with attacks such as Calm Mind, Thunderbolt, and Shadow Ball. ̶0;HeartGold̶1; and ̶0;SoulSilver̶1; players can catch Raikou after releasing it from the Burned Tower.

Instructions

  Enter the basement of the Burned Tower in Ecruteak City. Go down the ladders until your rival appears. Defeat him in battle and continue down the ladders to reach the basement. Raikou, Entei, and Suicune will spot you and run away.

  Obtain all eight Johto badges and fly to New Bark Town. Talk to Professor Elm to get the Master Ball.

  Buy five to 10 Max Repels and place a level 39 Pokemon at the front of your party.

  Switch to the PokeGear̵7;s map to reveal Raikou̵7;s location marker. Ride your bicycle back and forth between Ecruteak City and Route 37 until the marker moves to your location.

  Use a Max Repel and roam the grass until Raikou appears. Use the Master Ball to catch Raikou right away.
