How to Get the Nerf DS Protector Off

The Nerf DS protective armor keeps your handheld gaming device safe from scratches, bumps and drops while you are gaming on the go. Although the Nerf armor is effective at protecting your Nintendo DS, it drastically increases the size of the device. However, despite its looks, the Nerf armor is not permanent -- you can safely remove it without damaging the armor or your DS.

      Turn off your Nintendo DS and open the device's display.

      Grip the hinge of the Nerf armor on the right side of the DS with your thumb and forefinger. Gently pry the top piece of armor off the side of the DS.

      Place your pointer in the audio port on the armor along the right side of the bottom part of the DS. Push up on the device with your forefinger as you pull down on the Nerf armor cover with your thumb to release it from the Nintendo DS.
