How to Catch the Cricket in New Carnival Games on Nintendo DS

Catching the cricket in the Nintendo DS game "New Carnival Games" is an important mission because it unlocks the "Social Butterfly" achievement. With this achievement unlocked, you can talk with everyone in the park. Finding the cricket and capturing it in its cage isn't difficult, though it may take a few tries before you catch it successfully, as the cricket jumps away as soon as you try to catch it.

Instructions

  Make your way to the "Yeti Got Rhythm" game in the park. It's located on the right side of the park.

  Talk to the old man standing beside the game. He gives you a cage to catch the cricket.

  Continue walking towards the right of the park until you come to the pond.

  Stand by the dock on the bank of the pond, but do not actually walk onto the dock.

  Tap the cricket repeatedly until it appears in your cage. You may need to tap the cricket four or five times before you catch him. He will try to run away, so tap quickly.

  Bring the cricket back to the old man. This completes the mission.
