How to Erase a Pokemon SoulSilver Game

̶0;Pokemon SoulSilver̶1; can only have one saved game at a time. To start the game from the beginning you must delete your previous game̵7;s data or you will not be able to save your progress in the new game. This can be done at the game̵7;s title screen after you hold down a combination of buttons. You may also want to delete your game data if you are selling the game, returning it to a shop or giving it to a friend. You must reset your Pokewalker, if you have used it, to completely erase all game data.

Instructions

Reset Pokewalker

  Insert the ̶0;Pokemon SoulSilver̶1; game card into the game slot at the top of a Nintendo DS. Turn the console on.

  Tap the first screen that appears and touch the ̶0;Pokemon SoulSilver̶1; panel on the main menu. Wait for the game̵7;s title screen to appear.

  Press ̶0;Start̶1; when prompted to open the game̵7;s main menu. Highlight the ̶0;Connect to Pokewalker̶1; option and press ̶0;A.̶1;

  Hold the ̶0;Down̶1; button on the console̵7;s d-pad and the ̶0;X̶1; button simultaneously, and then press the ̶0;L̶1; button. Select the ̶0;Yes̶1; option that appears to reset your Pokewalker.
Erase Game Data

  Insert the game into your console and turn it on. Navigate to the ̶0;Pokemon SoulSilver̶1; title screen, but do not press ̶0;Start.̶1;

  Hold ̶0;Select,̶1; the ̶0;Up̶1; button on the console̵7;s d-pad and ̶0;B̶1; simultaneously.

  Highlight the ̶0;Yes̶1; option and press ̶0;A,̶1; then select ̶0;Yes̶1; again to delete the game data.
