How Do You Catch Raikou in Pokemon Soul Silver?

Raikou is one of the two legendary dog-like creatures that roams the wilds of ̶0;Pokemon SoulSilver.̶1; The Thunder Pokemon Raikou stores thunderbolts in the cloud on its back and launches them with devastating power at its foes. Although all of Raikou̵7;s stats are high, its electrical attacks and super speed are what set it apart from other Pokemon. It isn̵7;t too tough to find Raikou the first time, but capturing this speedster in a Pokeball is a trying feat.

Instructions

  Go inside of the Burned Tower located in Ecruteak City. Raikou and Entei will run away as soon as you enter the ruined building.

  Check your Pokedex for Raikou and access the map function for this Pokemon. A red dot will mark the current location of Raikou.

  Quickly run, fly or surf to the Route that Raikou is currently visiting and walk through the tall grass to encounter it in a Pokemon battle.

  Use a fast Pokemon that knows a debilitating technique, such as Hypnosis or Glare to keep Raikou from instantly running away. Although there is a chance it will still successfully escape, putting Raikou to sleep or paralyzing it will make capturing it easier the next time you find it.

  Track Raikou to the Route it roams to on the Pokedex map and attack it until its health bar shrinks to the fragile red zone before you attempt to catch it in a Pokeball. Quick Balls, Heavy Balls and Ultra Balls are the most effective types of Pokeballs to use on Raikou, due to its speed and weight.
