How Do I Catch a Mantine in Pokemon SoulSilver?

Mantine is a water and flying type Pokemon, specifically known as a kite Pokemon. This Pokemon is the evolved form of Mantyke, and stands just short of seven feet tall. Mantine was first available for capture in "Pokemon LeafGreen" and makes several appearances in versions since. In "Pokemon SoulSilver" however, Mantine is not available through capture, but can be traded in from "Pokemon HeartGold,." In "Pokemon HeartGold," Mantine can be found along Route 41.

Things You'll Need

Two Nintendo DS Systems (any version)
"Pokemon HeartGold" with Mantine in the Pokemon Party
"Pokemon SoulSilver"

Instructions

  Journey to the nearest Pokemon Center in "HeartGold" and "SoulSilver." Save your game while standing outside. Ensure the Wi-Fi connection on both DS systems is working.

  Enter the second level of the Pokemon Center on both consoles. Approach the computer, then press "A" to initiate the trade. Select "Yes" when prompted.

  Select the Pokemon on "SoulSilver" to trade in exchange for Mantine when your Pokemon party pops up. In "HeartGold," select Mantine.

  Confirm the trade by pressing "A." then exit the computer system. Save your game upon exiting the Pokemon Center.
