How Do You Connect the Pokewalker in Pokemon SoulSilver?

"Pokemon SoulSilver" contains hundreds of Pokemon species, but not all of them are available in the game itself. Players must transfer some species from previous games or from the Pokewalker. The Pokewalker is a pedometer, and by walking around with it, players earn Watts, which they can use to capture Pokemon that are uncommon in the main game. Players can then transfer their captured Pokemon to "SoulSilver," where they can train and breed them like any other Pokemon.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the Pokewalker and your Nintendo DS near each other. They connect via WiFi, so the closer they are, the more likely they are to connect without an interruption.

    • 2

Reset your game if you're currently playing "Pokemon SoulSilver." If you're not playing it, insert "SoulSilver" into your DS and turn it on.

    • 3

Select "Connect with Pokewalker" from the main menu. The option is at the bottom of the screen. Once the Pokewalker and DS are connected, you can choose to take your Pokemon on walks or transfer Pokemon to your "SoulSilver" game.
