How Do You Get the HM Waterfall Ability in Pokemon HeartGold?

In "Pokemon: HeartGold" for the Nintendo DS, you must travel the region of Johto to fight and train Pokemon characters to prove your mettle as the best trainer in the land. As you wander Johto you will uncover new abilities for you and your Pokemon, including Waterfall, which allows your party to climb up waterfalls to reach new areas. You can earn this ability by exploring the Ice Path early in the quest.

Instructions

  Enter the Ice Path off Route 44 near Mahogany Town
- 2
  Walk (you will actually slide on the slippery surface) to the steps and head down them to the first subfloor.

  Slide to the left and solve the puzzle maze by moving up, left, up, left, down, left, up and right.
- 4
  Reach the man who will give you the Waterfall ability from this point by traveling right, up, left, down, left, up and then right. Take the steps back up to the first floor and speak to the character here. He will grant you HM07, the Waterfall ability.
