How to Get in the Elevator in Saffron City on Pokemon HeartGold

In "Pokemon HeartGold," the Silph Company building in Saffron City contains an elevator that isn't working. To fix the elevator, you must use Rotom, a ghost Pokemon with the power to possess electrical devices. After you fix the elevator, you can use it to travel down to a room with five different appliances. Your Rotom can possess each of these appliances to change into different forms and learn new moves.

Instructions

  Trade one of your Pokemon for a Rotom from another game. Rotom is available in "Pokemon Diamond," "Pokemon Pearl" and "Pokemon Platinum. If you do not have another Nintendo DS and another game available, you can trade for a Rotom at the Global Trade Station in Goldenrod City.

  Open the "Pokemon" menu and arrange your Pokemon so that Rotom is the first Pokemon in your party.

  Travel to Saffron City, enter the Silph Co. building, then walk into the elevator. Rotom will repair the elevator, and the elevator will take you down to the room with the appliances.
