How Do I Find & Catch Tauros in the Game Pokemon SoulSilver?

Tauros, a bull Pokemon with sharp horns and three tails, intimidates smaller opponents in "Pokemon SoulSilver." Tauros is a normal-type Pokemon with high attack and defense stats. As Tauros levels up, he learns devastating moves like Zen Headbutt and Giga Impact. Tauros is relatively common and you can find him in four places in the Johto region. Find and catch Tauros to add a powerful normal Pokemon to your fighter's roster.

  Head to Ecruteak City and leave through the west exit. Walk in the grass on Route 38 until a Tauros appears. Throw Poke Balls at Tauros to capture it. You must be level 13 to encounter a Tauros on Route 38.

  Walk north from Olivine City to get to Route 39. Explore the grassy areas here, and a Tauros sometimes challenges you. Catch Tauros with a Poke Ball when he appears. You need to have level 15 to encounter a Tauros on Route 39.

  Go to Cianwood City and walk west to Route 47. Walk north to Route 48. Find and catch a Tauros here when you examine the grass patches on the road. You can find Tauros on Route 48 when you are at level 20.

  Head north from Route 48 to enter the Safari Zone. Pay the $500 fee to enter the park and receive some Safari Balls. Walk to the Savannah area and walk around in the bushes. When Tauros appears, throw Safari Balls at it to catch it. Unlike wild Pokemon, a Tauros in the Safari Zone may flee, and you will have to find him again. Visit the Safari Zone when you are between levels 15 and 17.
