How Do I Get the Lumicite in Chrono Trigger for the DS?

"Chrono Trigger" is a role-playing game about time travel. In the process of halting the apocalypse, the player recruits allies, crafts powerful weapons and learns arcane spells. The Lumicite Shard is an ingredient in crafting the Elemental Aegis, one of the most powerful suits of armor in the game. In order to get a Lumicite Shard, the player needs to defeat the Wonder Rock. This rare monster is only present in the Millennium Wood, and since it's fond of running away, the player has to either steal the Lumicite or defeat the rock quickly.

Instructions

  Proceed through the game until you've defeated King Dalton. Two time gates appear. Select the gate to 65,000,000 B.C.

  Walk north to arrive at the prehistoric village. Continue north and you'll enter the Millennium Wood.

  Wander around the woods. If you're lucky, you'll encounter a Wonder Rock. If not, exit the wood and then enter again. Continue looking for the Wonder Rock until you encounter it.

  Use Ayla's Charm Tech. She'll steal the Lumicite from it. If you don't have Ayla with you, bombard it with your most powerful attacks. If you're strong enough, you'll kill it before it runs away.
