Turtwig is one of the starter Pokémon from ̶0;Pokémon Diamond̶1; ̶0;Pearl̶1; and ̶0;Platinum,̶1; but it̵7;s not available to catch in ̶0;Pokémon HeartGold.̶1; If you want a Turtwig egg in ̶0;Pokémon HeartGold̶1; you have to trade with another player from a ̶0;Pokémon Diamond,̶1; ̶0;Pearl̶1; or ̶0;Platinum̶1; game.

  Find a person who has a Turtwig egg and is willing to trade with you. Ask the person for their friend code and give them your friend code. You can see your friend code by going into a PokeCenter, clicking on the "Pal Pad" and selecting "Friend Code."

  Go into any basement of any PokeCenter in any town.

  Click on ̶0;Pal Pad" and select ̶0;Trade.̶1;

  Enter the friend code of the person you want to trade with and click ̶0;Connect.̶1;

  Wait for the trade to go through by looking at the progress bar on your screen. When the progress bar is done, open your Pokémon menu and locate the Turtwig egg.
