How to Get the Key in Pastoria in Pokemon Diamond

In the game "Pokemon Diamond," you can perform small tasks for people you meet in the game in return for a small reward. When you get to Pastoria City, you will encounter a distraught woman who has lost her suite key to her Hotel Grand Lake room. If you find it for her, she will give you a Lava Cookie. The Lava Cookie is a healing item that will get rid of any status effect during a Pokemon battle, such as Sleep, Poison or Paralysis.

Instructions

  Talk to the woman in Pastoria who is missing her suite key. She will tell you she lost it somewhere on Route 213.

  Head out of Pastoria City onto Route 213. Open your menu and select your bag. Choose the "Dowsing Rod" from your Items section. The dowsing rod lets you find hidden objects on the ground.

  Walk around in Route 213 using the dowsing rod; the key will be close to the door of the guard house. The rods will move closer together the nearer you are to the key. When you come across the key's location, a dialog box will appear informing you that you have found the suite key. Return to the woman and give her the key in exchange for the Lava Cookie.
