How to Get the Boat Back if I Zoomed Out of It in Dragon Quest IX

In the game ̶0;Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies,̶1; the ̶0;Zoom̶1; spell allows you to teleport instantly to a town you have already visited. When you Zoom from anywhere, including when on your boat, the boat does not disappear. Instead, your boat will teleport to the closest body of water near to the city you select. If there is no close body of water, it may not be easy to locate where your boat appeared. In this case, you will need to use the Zoom spell again to travel to a city that is closer to water to find your boat.

     Press the ̶0;X̶1; button to open the menu, then select ̶0;Spells & Abilities.̶1;

     Select the ̶0;Zoom̶1; spell from your main hero̵7;s menu. The game will prompt you to select a location.

   • 3

     Select ̶0;Bloomingdale̶1; from the list of cities to teleport to the new location. This city is close to water, which will help you locate your boat.

   • 4

     Exit the city and you will see your boat on the world map in the water near Bloomingdale. You can now board and use your boat as you normally would.
