How to Get the TM AncientPower for a Tangela in Pokemon SoulSilver

Ancient Power is a special move that only certain Pokemon can learn in the Nintendo DS role- playing game "Pokemon SoulSilver." It is a Rock-type move that damages your opponents when you use it in battle. Tangela is a Grass-type Pokemon and is able to learn and use the Ancient Power move. Learning this move triggers an evolution in Tangela, which will result in it transforming into another Pokemon. You can get this move for Tangela while preventing it from transforming.

Instructions

  Travel to route 44, which is situated between Mahogany Town and Blackthorn City. Move your character around in the tall grass until you encounter a Tangela below level 33.

  Battle the Tangela and lower its health until it is in the red. Throw a Pokeball at the Tangela to capture it and add it to your party.

  Place the Tangela at the head of your party, and then battle other Pokemon in the wild and defeat them. Tangela will receive experience points for each defeated Pokemon and eventually level up.

  Continue to use Tangela in battle until it reaches level 33. Answer "Ok" when the game asks you whether it should delete a move and replace it with Ancient Power. Select one of the four existing moves and press the "A" button to replace it.

  Press the "B" button when you get a message that Tangela is starting to evolve. This will cancel the evolution and leave you with a Tangela that has the Ancient Power move. If you do not cancel the evolution, Tangela will change into a Tangrowth.
